Family by Design

October is a month my family would like to forget this year. With one son-in-law hospitalized with a partially collapsed lung and the other returning from deployment in UAE with the Air Force, it was a difficult month for two of my daughters. Happily, the hospital visit and the deployment are a thing of the past now. But just as we thought the hardest part was over, my next-to-oldest daughter's house caught fire. Charging back inside to retrieve their kitten didn't help the lung of her hubby, and although they'll be living in a temporary house for at least three months while their house is made liveable again, we're all very thankful that no one was hurt and the fire was contained in one bedroom, while the rest of the house sustained smoke and water damage. The weather has been much cooler here, but we didn't need that kind of heat!

The following is a "review" I wrote on eHarlequin.com about this book. I was totally shocked to see a comment left by you under my review! Thank you so much for letting me know you stopped by!!!!
"I finished the last 50 pages of this book while sitting on bleachers with several other parents and siblings while my daughter's gymnastic team was having practice. I tend to "rate" books by whether they can make me laugh outloud or cry.
I absolutely could NOT keep from finishing this book while I sat there, which was HARD for me because I was SOOOOOOO incredibly embarrassed that tears were streaming down my face. I bawled, and bawled, and bawled. This book is AWESOME!!!! I have no doubt that I used half a box of Kleenex while I finished reading.
If you love a realistic love story that includes a single parent, then this is YOUR next read!!!! Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
Oh, make sure you have privacy and tissue!"
